About Taleeb Starkes

Mr. Starkes is a best-selling author whose latest book, Black Lies Matter, exposes and dissects an entity to which he refers as the Race Grievance Industry.

Raised in Philadelphia, Pa., he spent nearly two decades mentoring at-risk, inner-city youth. Mr. Starkes credits his upbringing in public housing for teaching him to relate to both juvenile delinquents and dependents, whom he strived to empower and persuade to reject the victim mentality to which he once subscribed.

Mr. Starkes’ commitment to reforming the inner cities was reflected in the award winning documentary, Mother of No Tomorrow (2012), which he produced and co-wrote. Mother of No Tomorrow highlighted the pernicious effects of gun violence and depicted mothers of gun violence victims that came together to support each other through so much senseless tragedy.

In 2016, Mr. Starkes recorded “The Top Five Issues Facing Black Americans,” a five-minute video that went viral. It has been viewed more than 11.4 million times, and can be found online at PragerU.com. He’s currently the host of the Manhattan-based podcast Safe Space, and can be found on Twitter @TaleebStarkes.
